We offer a range of kayaking gear repairs, outlined below.
Gasket Replacement
We replace neck and wrist gaskets on dry suits and dry tops.
Ankle and bicep gaskets are available on request. Please get in touch for a quote.
Pricing
The cost of a gasket replacement is the price of the gasket plus labour:

Our Kokatat gaskets fit all Kokatat garments and most other dry tops and dry suits. Both come in Small and Large.
You can buy your gaskets in our shop and add a note to your order asking us to fit them.
All prices are in NZD and include GST.
How to send us your drywear garments
1. Drop off or post
You can drop your garment in to us at 111 Waller Street, Murchison, or post it to:

Please include a note with your name, phone number, email address and the gaskets you’d like replaced.
2. Return shipping
We recommend including a pre-paid, self-addressed courier bag with your garment. If you don’t, we’ll ship it back to you at your expense.
We recommend using a tracked courier service. Your garment remains your responsibility until it arrives with us, and we can’t accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit.
3. Turnaround
Please make sure your garment is clean and completely dry before sending it. If it arrives dry, we’ll have it back in the post to you within 24 hours.
Other Repairs
We also offer a range of other kayak and paddle repairs. Every job is different, so please contact us for more information and a quote. As an indication, our labour rate is $50 per hour.
Boat Welding
We can assist with welding repairs on plastic kayaks. Please send us a description and photos of the damage, and we’ll let you know whether it’s something we can repair.
Outfitting
We offer boat outfitting and retrofitting, whether you’re setting up a new kayak or upgrading the fit of your current one.
You can browse our range of outfitting products in our shop. Add a note to your order if you’d like us to fit them for you.
Werner Blade Replacement
We can replace damaged blades on Werner paddles. Please contact us with your paddle model so we can confirm parts and pricing.
Sending Us Your Gear
Please contact us before sending anything, so we can check we’re able to help and give you an idea of the cost.
Kayaks and paddles are big and awkward to post, so dropping them off at our base in Murchison is usually the easiest option. If you’re paddling on the West Coast or around Murchison, or coming on one of our courses, you can bring your gear with you.
If you need to send it to us, we can talk you through the options when you get in touch. Return freight/postage is at your expense. Your gear remains your responsibility until it arrives with us, and we can’t accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit.
