Kendall Shuker

NZOIA KAYAK 1 INSTRUCTOR

Kendall is at her happiest when she’s outside, chasing the next adventure. Whether she’s paddling whitewater, hunting in the hills, riding a mountain bike, climbing rock, or heading into the backcountry for an overnight mission, the outdoors is where she feels most at home.

Originally from Nelson, Kendall studied at polytech in Greymouth before heading to Peel Forest, where she began teaching outdoor education. Her passion for adventure eventually led her to the New Zealand Kayak School, where she now gets to share her love of whitewater kayaking with others.

Kendall is all about technical moves, challenging whitewater, creek boating, and exploring places that are a little harder to reach. She holds NZOIA Level 1 qualifications in Bush, Rock, and Kayak, and brings a broad range of experience from years spent mountain biking, tramping, kayaking, hunting, climbing, playing football, and generally finding any excuse to get outside.

With a big appetite for adventure and a love of pushing into the unknown, Kendall is stoked to help people get out of their comfort zones, discover new places, and experience everything the incredible Murchison scenery has to offer.
